Our commitment to privacy

Your privacy is important to us at eTripTrader, Inc. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

What information we collect and how we use it

During performance of the Crew Companion software, Crew Companion Lite Service and Crew Companion Mobile Service specific information is sent to the Crew Companion servers.

The information that is received by Crew Companion server is:

  • The current version and build number of software. This is needed in order to notify you of the latest service package and upgrade releases of software.
  • The time and date of first program installation and the usage period and the users subscription status. This information is collected to gain statistics on the period during which software was used and to verify the user's access rights.
  • User's contact information including name, address, email, telephone number and company employee number. We consider this information confidential and it will not be sold or released to third parties without the user's consent.
  • User's domicile, equipment type and seat. This is needed for statistics gathering as well as determining which bulletin board posts to send to the user when requested and where to put users bulletin board posts.
  • The contents of bulletin board posts created by all users. These will generally contain trade criteria information, name, file number, and contact email address and phone number. This information is only released to other Crew Companion users when they request the list of bulletin board posts for their domicile, fleet and seat. Note: Crew Companion users must be a current United Airlines pilot or flight attendant.

How we protect your information

First, we don't share personal information you provide us with any third parties except as noted above for bulletin board posts.

As an exception to this policy eTripTrader, Inc. may disclose personal information only if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of eTripTrader, Inc, the sites or the users of the Crew Companion software, Crew Companion Lite Service and Crew Companion Mobile Service.

For each session, we verify the user is a current Crew Companion subscriber logged in with appropriate passwords. All passwords are encrypted and masked for your protection.

If you need to change or remove any information, do so directly through the Crew Companion software or contact support@eTripTrader.com.

TradeBoard Posts

We make trade board posts available to all Crew Companion subscribers in the same category (domicile/fleet/seat). Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Any libelous, profane, lewd or otherwise inappropriate statements made in trade board posts are grounds for immediate cancellation of subscription and use privileges. The employees of eTripTrader, Inc are the sole determiners of statements that could warrant subscription cancellation.

No Error Free Performance

We will release beta versions of our products from time to time, which are further refined before the release of the final version. Because these products are still in a test phase, we may not always catch an unintended privacy issue, despite our efforts to do so. As such, we welcome feedback on any privacy concerns you may have, and on how to improve our products generally, in all stages of release. eTripTrader, Inc does not guarantee error-free performance under this privacy policy. We will use reasonable efforts to comply with this privacy policy and will take prompt corrective action when we learn of any failure to comply with our privacy policy. eTripTrader, Inc shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential or punitive damages relating to this privacy policy. eTripTrader, Inc may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on eTripTrader, Inc; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of eTripTrader, Inc and its products, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of eTripTrader's products or the public at large. This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Idaho.
